hunter boots.

It is definitely the winter! When I was studying in Oklahoma we used to get snow like this, but I haven't lived in it (snow) since I graduated. Oh how I've missed it! And oh how wonderful it is to sleep in the winter. I don't blame the polar bears at all! Knowing that we could potentially have some serious snow, I begged my husband for a pair of Hunter wellies. They're quite popular here and seeing how they're on the higher end of wellies, I knew this was going to take some serious convincing.

Hunter Blog

A while ago, I did the whole "Hunter vs Uggs" debate. I have wanted a pair of Uggs since I was 16. But living in Texas, what defence did I have to convince my parents I needed them in a winter where the average is 50F/10C? In England, however, it is cold all the time! Knowing that both were going to cost some serious £'s, I knew when I pitched them to John, I had to be ready. So, I did my research.

Uggs Tall Classic

On the whole, Uggs were warmer. Every. Time. However, Hunters were drier. So I had to decide: did I want a pair of Uggs where I'd only get to wear them in the winter or did I want a pair of Hunters where I'd get to wear them, pretty much year round? You know England, it rains all year! Hunters won. Not only would I get to wear them in the rain, but I'd also get to wear them to festivals, country side walks, farm visits, and the snow. So this time, Uggs lost, once again.

That being said, I LOVE MY HUNTER BOOTS!!! Love, love, LOVE! I didn't choose the colour, I left that to John, but I think he did really well! Not to mention, he also bought me a sweet knitted insert to wear with them. I have never enjoyed walking in the snow more.

This has turned out to be a sweet winter. ❤
