Have you ever heard of the expression, "They are in your life for a reason, the season or for life"? I met Jonathan through my friend Stephanie. They had been friends since high school and even went to prom together. Ah the infamous prom date!

Jonathan was this über talented make-up artist. And when I say über, I mean über. He had this amazing gift to transform you with most subtle make-up techniques ever. You were wearing make-up, but you weren't really wearing make-up. It was so subtle, so soft, so beautiful. Does this make sense? It was incredible!

He had done Stephanie's make-up for both her rehearsal dinner and her wedding. She's a beautiful woman, but somehow he managed to capture her wedding glow and make her just illuminate even more! I don't even think I'm justifying its description. I just remember all evening he kept saying, "But isn't this how we always saw her? It's just been brought out for everyone to see."

This quote (the header) is from an interview he did that his sister shared on his FB page. It makes me smile because he was a makeup artist! He was asked, "Any beauty tips?"And his response,

Remember you’re beautiful.

Isn't that awesome? He could've said anything from how to have the perfect lips or the perfect this or that, and instead he chose to remind us just how beautiful we are. I think Jonathan's beautiful. Simply so.

Jonathan was in my life for one day. Just one. He left this beautiful earth way too soon, but in the one conversation we had, he managed to dream with me and help me to believe that my dream is possible. He will never know how much he's changed my life with just one conversation.

To the person reading this little blog, thank you. Please know that there is no one else like you. You are special. You are gifted. And you just never know how one little conversation can impact someone's life, no matter how small. Enjoy the small moments. And- remember you're beautiful.
